Patches never have extra content and i've no idea why you would assume they do. Map packs on the other hand do have extra content and i'm sure Epic are working on one. Stop whining. Wtf.....

No it's people like you that have caused the sales to plummet. For the PC it has had so much bad press from people that just don't know what they are talking about.

Take this as an example:

So you want to see another COD or Halo with slow, simple movement and "standing still" shots. Well if you ask me there are plenty of these games around and people DO want something different. Explain to me why the PS3 version has had rave reviews and massive sales if people don't like this sort of gameplay.

The gameplay is just awesome and the few faults that are in the game are being ironed out. The modding community is alive as ever and the sales have started picking up again meaning the servers are gaining activity. There are tournaments on the go (an enemy down tourny just started for $40,000) and plenty of competitive players to challenge you.

UT games all have extra bonus content released 2-3 months after realease with a patch. that has always been ther way since unreal. This is the first time they havent done that,its also the first time that it sales have been way below expectations. ... so as they have given less this time than ever before i am disapointed and entitled to be.

More over-reactions to over-reactions, strange how such a thing as opinion garners such intense feeling.

Personally UT3 isn't my bag, not that I didn't think the demo was reasonable fun but I'd rather play Battlefield [AnythnigEndingInA2]. I would however speculate that PC fps gaming has changed a LOT over the last few years with respect to what the gamers want, UT hasn't changed much at all and now most definitely does fit into more of a console style.

On to the rather childish arguments. SENT your first post is your usual VERY strong opinion and is worded VERY badly making you sound like someone who believes they are always right. Hence The reaction you got from someone who clearly is an active UT3 player. (Who then also over-reacts somewhat)

Sorry if i overreacted but i'm getting very tired of these kind of posts. The main reason that the game is selling badly on the PC, imo at least, is the terrible coverage it has received in the media and through forums. And you see it everywhere! For every 10 of these posts only one of them is based on fact and as an active player it really is starting to hack me off. I really don't understand why almost every post is negative towards the game. I honestly wouldn't mind so much if they had some sort of substance to them, but they rarely do.

SENT it has nothing to do with opinions. I'm sorry i went a bit ott but please think about what you are posting. The game has NEVER received bonus content though patches. You are thinking of bonus packs and these are released much more than 4 months after the retail release. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes even longer this time given the detail of the meshes and characters.

Well Quake isn't my thing, i just don't like the movement, it feels too floaty to me. Watching that video only reminds me of it. However i do feel that UT3 has more depth in the weapons than Quake. I guess it's down to preference.
