Battlefield Heroes Developer Blog  by Craig D at 10:23

PC
A Battlefield Heroes developer blog is now online in which Senior Producer Ben Cousins explains how the design of Battlefield Heroes began and what their goals are with the title. Interestingly we find out that the game uses the Battlefield 2142 engine but with smaller maps and as it uses comic style graphics it will probably run very nicely on any half decent PC.

1. We wanted to return to the crazy unrealistic feel of Battlefield 1942 and Codename Eagle, games which we had both been fans of.
2. We wanted to make sure that players could 'get to the fun’ easier this time - faster, cheaper and easier.
3. We were committed to ensuring that the gameplay would still feel like a legitimate part of the Battlefield franchise, with the core elements and feel preserved.

Worth a quick read.

cool, instead of going out and ask what people really want we´r headin for some stuff 2 people liked before...at least it will be free^^

for my part when i read "crazy&unrealistic" and the word "battlefield" in the same sentence i find something sounds wrong...

agreed they should start a new franchise and not misrepresent the battlefield name and "total war" gameplay.
