Half-Life 2 multiplayer will be CS  by Shane L at 14:13

hl2 Half-Life 2 which is due to ship this summer has announced that Counter-Strike will be its multiplayer mode, although it doesn't go as far to say its CS2 it does say it has had a complete make over.

Half-Life 2 multiplayer is Counter-Strike on the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships. Counter-Strike gameplay doesn't seem to have changed much, if at all. Graphics of course, are much improved.
- Half-Life 1 is also ported over to the Source engine and will be available at the same time as when Half-Life 2 ships.
- During the presentation, Gabe Newell reiterated that Half-Life 2 is shipping this summer, although no specific date was given.
- Team Fortress 2 was not mentioned at all.

Don't see them bringing out a CS2 if they are porting CS1 accross to the HL2 engine. From the short video I saw it does look impressive. Looking forward to HL2 even more now :) And to think they both come out at the same time!

Don't see them bringing out a CS2 if they are porting CS1 accross to the HL2 engine. From the short video I saw it does look impressive. Looking forward to HL2 even more now :) And to think they both come out at the same time!
