The scandal surrounding the apparent firing of GameSpot editor Jeff Gerstmann for not liking Kane and Lynch:Dead Men continues to smoulder around the interweb today, this post on valleywag.com is allegedly by another GameSpot editor pours more doubt on the general integrity of mainstream gaming reviews.

Clearly there's no guarantee it's a genuine blog post but it does at least sound feasible.

Kotaku are also reporting that many GameSpot staff are unhappy about the situation and may be considering a mass exodus.
