Aion: Tower of Eternity Screenshots  by Craig D at 14:46

PC
Another large batch of Aion screenshots have been released today. NCsoft's particularly attractive MMORPG runs in a modified version of the Crytek engine, it's strange that I don't see any tropical islands.

Sure does look beautiful. Very refreshing to see a style like this on the PC.

I would say it uses the guild wars engine and looks very much like that.

Thats clearly a typo, it looks so much like guild wars does its unreal. Nothing at all like a crysis engine tbh.

It's no typo afaik. Crytek engine, doesn't say which version. More likely to be mostly the Farcry codebase.

I guess the Crysis engine is a good choice. Seems like they've toned it down a heck of a lot so people can actually run it... but there's so much more they can do with it as time goes on. Completely different art style to Crysis as well so it's sure to look really different.
