This years BAFTA video game awards winners have been announced and quite frankly Nintendo's Wii Sports absolutely dominates winning six of the categories, there were also two awards each for Okami and God of War 2 and Crackdown with BioShock taking to converted best game award.

Can't say I really agree with the BioShock winning best game, personally still haven't got more than an hour in and am finding it really dull whenever I try to get further.

And quite why Wii Sports won in the Strategy and Simulation category is beyond me

Strategy and Simulation? weird. BioShock would be in my shortlist for best game, but as you say, it drags a bit in places. Oddly after completing it I wish I had more to do. Hopefully the comment about a BioShock update to improve re-play value will happen.

Team Fortress 2, Best Game: HL Ep 2, Portal, Gears of War, Warcraft, Eve Online, Lord of Rings Online, amonst many others!

Most of those will be in next years hopefuls, the deadline will have been shortly after BioShock came out no doubt.

Mass effect and assasins creed will probably clean up next year unless they get FFXIII and versus out in time
