Bizarre Creations has today announced that the Project Gotham Racing series developer has joined Activision's ranks. It doesn't appear to be a full blown take over in the usual sense but it does mean that Bizarre Creations are now or shortly to become an Activision studio although it will retain it's name.

The official press release linked above does perhaps explains it better than I have but what is interesting is the news that both developments teams at Bizarre are about to start new titles.

Both of our two main game teams are about to start work on two new AAA titles for Activision. One will be a racing game, and the other a character game. Of course we'll make some more detailed announcements in the future, but be prepared for something big and exciting!

Whether or not the racing game is PGR5 will be an interesting topic on a few forums for a while.
