Rumours and semi official comments over the last few weeks may have alerted you to the presence on the radar of Dead Space but today EA officially announced it. Coming in Autumn 2008 on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 from EA Redwood Shores Studio's Dead Space is a third person psychological thriller set in space, aboard a deep space mining ship with a a vicious alien infestation.

Executive Producer Glen Schofield commented, "This team has worked on some tremendous properties but we have always wanted to work on something that was darker and creepier. We are all such huge fans of the horror and sci-fi genres; we wanted to create the most terrifying game we could, and keep the player on the edge of his seat the entire time."
