Razer Lachesis Announced  by Craig D at 09:31

PC
It would seem Razer have chosen the Leipzig Games Convention to launch their new mouse too, yesterday we got the Microsoft Sidewinder announcement and today we get the Razer Lachesis. Apparently the Lachesis Muta Muta is the largest pit viper in the world and follows Razers usual snake related naming scheme, it's latin name is 'Bringer of silent death' which is no doubt why the mousing device's web site is www.bringerofsilentdeath.com.

Considering it's pretty much twice as sensitive as any previous mouse, that's perhaps not a bad name.

* 4000dpi Razer Precision 3G LaserTM sensor
* 32KB Razer SynapseTM onboard memory
* Nine independently programmable HyperesponseTM buttons
* 1000Hz Ultrapolling / 1ms response time
* On-The-Fly SensitivityTM adjustment
* Variable true dpi setting adjustments in increments of 125dpi
* Always-OnTM mode
* Ultra-large non-slip buttons
* 16-bit ultra-wide data path
* 60-100 inches per second*
* Ambidextrous design
* Scroll wheel with 24 individual click positions
* Zero-acoustic UltraslickTM Teflon feet
* Gold-plated USB connector
* Seven-foot, lightweight, non-tangle cord
* Approximate size: 129mm (length) x 71mm (width) x 40mm (height)

There are plenty of image of the thing on the site but for the lazy it looks quite similar to a DeathAdder but with wider main buttons.
