Definitely not worth it imo.

Mani you made an interesting point in that value is subjective , the £425 I paid for my PS3 was for me good value. It genuinely is a unique device with some amazing multimedia capabilities. The development that Sony is plowing into the PS3 is stunning, with feature enhancements being released on a monthly basis.

A smart ass will be tempted to say these feature should have been in the original release or that Sony have to build on the platform due to lack killer apps .
The reality is that many of the enhancements are being driven by the community which in my opinion is how it should be . Marketing people should not be allowed blindly over rule what the public wants and it looks like the Sony Product marketing team have chosen to develop the consoles capabilities so as to enable it to compete in the home entertainment space.

The surprising thing is that the PS3 does not get used as much as I thought it would . This will change when I get another HD TV or alternatively a game is release which compels me to evict the Mrs into one of the other rooms (WarHawk or UR3 may kick that domestic battle off soon) LOL.
