World of Warcraft Surpasses Nine Million Subscribers  by Craig D at 20:55

PC
World of Warcraft Blizzard Entertainment and Vivendi Universal Games have today announced that World of Warcraft has surpassed nine million active subscribers, the most popular MMORPG in the world shows no signs of slowing down just yet, and the first expansion pack World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade still hasn't launched in China, it will soon and maybe that will push the figure towards 10 million?

"We’re thrilled that gamers around the world have continued to embrace World of Warcraft so enthusiastically," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment®. "We’ve worked hard to provide a compelling experience for our players, and we plan to continue updating the game with exciting new content for them to enjoy for many years to come."

Crazy amount of players and crazy money for Blizzard.
