Half-Life 2 done quick  by Craig D at 17:47

PC
I wondered how long this would take to come out, the latest in the 'done quick' series sees the HL2 done in 2 hours, 57 minutes and 35 seconds. You can read a little bit more about it or even download the 660mb avi file at Gamer's Hell.

2hrs 57 minutes huh, not quite in the same league as the 12 minutes and 23 seconds for Quake. Will it be beaten? Or is HL2 just that much of a bigger game?

There are quite a few bits you just have to wait for in HL2, it probably makes up a fair amount of the increase from the 1hr HL time to 3hr HL2.

Not many shortcuts to take on the boat levle or the buggy level either. Both very time consuming.

Depends on how long it takes people to find out shortcuts, etc. On the HL1 one the player skipped near enough entire levels by finding bugs through roofs, and walls.
