Violent games, larger warnings!  by Neil W at 17:30

Being as no one can be arsed to post anything today, i thought id try to make an effort.

It seems the Goverment wants to clamp down 'MORE' on the warnings printed on Violent video games.
Violent games have been hit by controversy after the game Manhunt was blamed for the murder of a 14yr old.

It's either parents or brothers & sisters who buy this shit for kiddies. Ain't nothin' no-one can do, surely.

I'd rather have kids indoors playing Manhunt than outside damaging property or ripping the shit out of some poor bastard who happens to be walking down the road.

Depends really, younger kids certainly shouldn't be playing Manhunt, ie, under 15's.

At that age you are quite impressionable and don't really know right form wrong or the consequences of your action. The industry itself needs to do more imho.

Games need to be treated just like movies and music, I'm all for violent video games, I love playing them tbh, but kids should NOT be playing them.

I have no problems with children playing violent games. This is the 21st century and anything we hide or (protect) them from the will only see or play at their friends.
If a game or film turns an *impressionable* child into a raging delinquent im sorry thats down to bad parenting and not the game/film.
Wright or wrong a child knows the difference between reality and virtual reality.
