Silverfall Review  by Craig D at 09:58

PC
We posted our somewhat belated review of Monte Cristo's RPG Silverfall today. You could say that Duncan wasn't all that impressed, and you'd be right.

Silverfall might have been forgiven a lot more if it had been more innovative, but following tried and tested formulas and then getting them wrong is galling. The plot set up is no exception to this. It's the fairly typical sub-Tolkein landscape just stuffed full of limp wrested elves, Scottish dwarves, mentally impaired ogres, dress wearing wizards, valkeries outfitted by Sports Illustrated Swimwear Edition, and steroidal warrior types.

I played, or tried to play Silverfall before the patch, the game was in one word, a mess. I then tried for 4 days to play it with the patch, it is still a mess. Shame to sell this to the public as a good RPG, I give it an F.
