Half-Life 2: Episode 2 Artwork  by Craig D at 13:27

PCXBoxPlaystation
The latest Valve steam powered marketing message features three pieces of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 concept artwork and news that they are hard at work finishing off the game. Also mentioned is the availability of more of 2K Games' titles over Steam.

Right now, we're working hard on putting the final parts of Episode Two together. Early on during development we spent a lot of time working on concept art of key areas of the game, so that everyone on the team could share a vision of what the final game would look like. The three pieces below are some examples of that work. Once the game is released you'll be able to see how these concept pieces were eventually turned into the final product.

stunning, its wierd how valve's graphics slowly evolve in almost unnoticible steps where as all other games take massive leaps. No doubt this will be a top quality mist have game. better be longer than episode 1 though i didthat in my dinner hour.

Not quite sure I like the idea of this game coming to the PS3. It's so much different from the 360 and PC so it'll most likely be a crap port with nothing but issues. I'll most likely get this for the PC for obvious reasons, but I wouldn't mind seeing what it's like on the 360.

I can't see it been that much different from 360 and PC, if you have that HDR thingy enabled and play it in 1080 on the PC.

wonder if they'll port TF2 and portal too?

Just curious I guess. There's normally some nice stuff thrown in for a console version. I remember the original HL having a cool Co-op mode for the PS2. That'd be nice... though I guess it probably wouldn't happen these days.

The PS3's architecture is very different from the 360's and PC's. The PC and 360 are very similar making the port easier I guess. PS3 is harder to develop for making me kinda worried about quick PC ports. I don't see me risking buying a PS3 version >.<
