For the Playstation 2 owners amoungst us ive just noticed over at Shacknews that Gran Turismo 4 will now be released in the US sometime in the first quarter of 2005, instead of this coming December.

Im pretty sure one or two Playstation 2 owners will be annoyed by this, the flip of the coin however is a game being released before its finished, which is also pretty annoying. I suppose thats the problem with consoles you cant release a patch after release to tidy up the rough edges. PC game Developers would die these days if a game had to be finished before releasing it.

The SCEA PR guy had this to say:-

"Natural challenges with finalizing all the key features and localization issues across worldwide territories have led to the difficult choice of pushing back the release date in order to ensure that Gran Turismo 4 lives up to the exacting standards of the 36 million-plus fans worldwide that have purchased previous versions of our best-selling franchise."
