HMV To Only Accept PS3 Pre-Orders If You Buy A PSP Too  by James B at 22:06

Playstation
More bad news for UK gamers; EuroGamer are reporting that HMV's online store is refusing to accept PS3 orders unless customers also buy a PSP. This brings the grand total for a UK Playstation 3 order to an astonishing GBP 675. Hopefully other retailers have the sense and decency not to exploit customers in such a ridiculous fashion.

Apparantly Bri told me that it's more than that - it's 2 games a memory card, PSP.. and that PS3's don't come with the lead for connecting to a standard TV - you have to buy that seperately too.

That is ridiculous, how on earth do companies think they can get away with stuff like that. It's a PR nightmare.

It smacks of the usual SONY style arrogance, wonder if they were involved?

Though, HMV kissing goodbye to their credibility in the gaming market doesn't hurt me, leave them too it.
