Crysis Public Beta Coming?  by Craig D at 21:20

PC
Computer and Video Games has the skinny on the possibility of a public multi-player beta of Crysis before the game ships in the summer, quite when that would be remains to be seen but it's great news none the less.

If you follow that link and visit CVG, they also have some details on the multi-player component from last summer that are worth a look by way of a reminder.

just been prodding people trying to get a date and i got
"Full details are expected to be released by Crytek over the following weeks. Crysis is yet to even hit alpha, so don't get your hopes up for a beta any time soon. Crysis is expected to hit alpha status around early march meaning beta status will probably be reached 2+ months after that ( may/june ). It's just a matter of wait and see. "

so plenty of time to wait for the ATi card in Feb i might cancel teh 8800 id rather have ati or at least let it drive 8800 prices down

I read they were using a new power connector for it, and My PSU didn't have it so that was the only reason i needed , tho tbh if they said it would only be in black I would have got the 8800, I just wanted a reason

it just converts from the molex with a little convertor supplied with the card similar to the double thingy that comes with a 8800GTX

you dont need a new psu

also it is their 2nd gpu using shader model 4.0 so it will be better then the r500 in the 360 and the g80 as they were designed a while back now .
its funny how Vista dx10 dx9ex the dx10 graphics cards and the dx10 games all get delayed the same amount so they still all come out in order its kinda like they made it all up just to make us want them more

Playing betas ruins the game in the future IMO, I'll stay away from it.
