PC
In need of a new mouse mat? SteelSeries might have the answer, they have today revealed the new and improved SteelPad S&S, the new and improved rodent surface features increased compatibility with today's mousing technologies and is apparently more durable.

The original SteelPad S&S was released in 2004, after a development period of 7 months. It was developed in cooperation with one of the most successful teams in the history of Counter-Strike, SK.swe, who dominated the eSports scene in 2003. The pad was officially recommended and used by other leading Counter-Strike teams such as Team 3D, mousesports, The Titans and 4Kings.

To this day it is also the SteelSeries product that has won the highest number of recommendations and editors choice awards – the mouse pad has been reviewed by more than 400 online and offline publications worldwide, with an average score of 9,1 (out of 10).

The new optimizations and improvements have been developed in cooperation with professional Counter-Strike players from SK-Gaming.

"The original SteelPad S&S was developed in cooperation with SK-Gaming 3 years ago, so it is very rewarding to be involved with the optimization of this pad," says Christian 'SK.Vilden’ Lidstöm, Counter-Strike player for SK-Gaming. "Together with SteelSeries we have now made the surface more durable, as well as more responsive for the current generation of mice technologies."
