Xbox 360 65nm CPU's Delayed  by Craig D at 11:48

XBox
It would seem that the die shrunk version of the Xbox 360 CPU has been delayed by a quarter, it's not unusual for any CPU process shrink to be delayed so it's hardly a surprise. It's bound to piss off Microsoft though; smaller, cheaper and cooler CPU's are most definitely a good thing.

Industry sources have revealed to DigiTimes that plans to manufacture the Xbox 360 three-core CPU using a 65-nanometer manufacturing technology have been pushed back until the middle of 2007.

I guess it cant be as bad as the PS3 being 0wned by the WII across the world

+I dont know why they dont spend some time shrinking the PSU box, because that things a brick.

Why would a cooler and therefore quieter Xbox not affect the user. I'd love a quiet 360 tbh.

Not to mention it would hopefully reduce the amount of 360's dying.

engadget have a piccy of what's surpost to be the new 360 with the new core, claiming it will come with a tasty 120GB HDD and a HDMI output thingy for that 1080p stuff.
