Sega Signs Deal For Alien Games  by James B at 12:06

PCXBoxPlaystationNintendo
Hollywood Reporter is reporting that industry giants Sega have entered a deal with 20th Century Fox to create a series of games based on the popular Alien movie franchise. The games will include at least one FPS and one RPG, with talks currently being held with Sigourney Weaver and Lance Henriksen to use their likenesses and voices.

Mike Gallo, senior producer of the "Alien" games at Sega, said the new games will not follow the strict story lines of any of the four films in the series but instead will provide a new experience by drawing from the history and lore that is the foundation of the films.

I liked Alien vs Predator games, but will be interesting to see where they go with this.

I dunno if its great news as 9 out of 10 games based on movies are rushed and very poor, at least this time they wont have to rush the game to release it as the same time as the movie.

Alien games are normally better than most movie tie-ins. One important thing is the Alien Universe is a rich and detailed one, there IS potential for an amazing game. Will Sega deliver?
