Wii Will Have Demo Download Service  by James B at 00:39

Nintendo
Wii GamersReports are reporting via a German Wii fan-site that Wii owners will be available to download demos of Wii games onto SD cards, much like the Xbox 360. Keep as strong rumour mill for now, but it's hard to imagine this not happening with any online console.

Hmm I wonder what sort of access time sd cards have, and if gaming of one of them wouldl turn into stuttery shite ?

btw before you all start I phrased that wrong. I didn't mean there was no loading screens or anything I meant the interface instant loads stuff and from the SD card video's i've seen of the downloadable content there's not been any stuttering.

Hmm I dunno I will believe that when I see it, using a sd card as a hard drive to load demos off, surely has to be a bit iffy. Ahh well we will see. And no thanks if I want to watch a webcam broadcast it had better have boobies in it, so I dont bother with youtube.

I meant the fact I have seen better looking and sounding webcam broadcasts than youtube, meant to be the age of broadband and streaming hi quality video, and yet we are stuck with youtube.

from wikipedia:

There are different speed grades available which are measured with the same system as CD-ROMs, in multiples of 150 KB/s. Basic cards transfer data up to 6 times as fast (900 KB/s) as the standard CD-ROM speed. High-speed cards are made with higher data transfer rates like 66x (10 MB/s), and high-end cards have speeds of 150x or higher.

youtube is formed by people uploading any old video they find. What do you expect ? If they don't have a good source then they won't have a good video out of it at the end will they.

You can also stream demo's from the Wii to the DS if you set it to the public play mode thing, although you lose the game when you turn the DS off as it has no storage on it. That's one reason i'm hanging onto my DS at the moment.. that and the fact you can use it as a controller on the Wii too.

Yes but my point is, no matter the quality of the source youtube still looks and sounds like shite, I aint saying other people cant enjoy it, but why have kit like mine if you are going to watch stuff that makes webcams look advanced
