Looks like it's shortly to be patch time for Battlefield Vietnam. Not a moment too soon.
I know I'm extremely critical of EA/DICE for the poor state of Battelfield Viernam upon release (in my opinion), but It looks like they might finally release a patch to fix a lot of the balance and performance issues, some of the changelog is below.
Now if they could just completely re-shade and re-skin the player models, sort out the poor sound mixing and get rid of the solid brown water, I might play it again.
I'm actually going to bite the bullet and start my Battlefield Vietnam review, including a 1.01 patch update on the end. I can't imagine it will be pretty as I'm still gutted they made such a hash of the most innovative game franchise of the last 5 years. Ho hum, here's hoping Battlefield 2 takes off where Battlefield 1942 left off and we can all forget Battelfield Vietnam was ever released as anything but a free mod.
Oh wait, it cost me 35 pounds, grrrr.
