Ubisoft have announced that on Friday 10th November 2006 they will be hosting Fuse '06 at Newbury Racecourse. Taking place at the i29 LAN party, Fuse '06 is a crossover of rock music and gaming and will see a grand final of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter take place to a backdrop of cutting-edge rock.

London, United Kingdom – October 10, 2006 – Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that on Friday 10th November 2006 it will be hosting FUSE '06, at Newbury Racecourse.

FUSE '06 will bring together gaming and rock music for the first time at a major UK gaming event, and will be staged at Multiplay's i29 – the UK's biggest LAN gaming party which regularly draws over 1000 dedicated gamers.

FUSE '06 will see some of the UK's most skilled gaming clans meeting beneath one roof to fight it out in a tournament final of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced WarfighterTM on the Xbox 360TM video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Cutting-edge record label Visible Noise Records will provide the musical entertainment and has confirmed "ragga-punk-metal" band Skindred to headline, with Furthest Drive Home, PDHM, MissConduct and The Legacy facing-off in an incredible "Battle of the Bands" competition. The victors of each contest will both win a fantastic prize of a £1000 & a high spec, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced WarfighterTM branded Nexus PC.

"The cross over between games and music is an obvious one and we simply wanted to do something exciting and fun for the gaming community whilst promoting the Tom Clancy franchise and extending it to a wider audience." said Phil Brannelly, Senior Ubisoft Product Manager.

Further activities are planned for the day including competitions sponsored by partners Gibson Guitar and the Official Xbox 360 Magazine and simulated military and counter-terrorist exercises, which will guarantee that FUSE '06 buzzes with excitement.

Tickets will be limited, and the lucky ticket holders will also get the chance to play the yet to be released Tom Clancy titles Rainbow Six® Vegas and Splinter Cell Double AgentTM.
