More Wii Launch Details  by Craig D at 13:30

Nintendo
Wii To start off the Wii launch thread for today, news has filtered through of the Australian launch date of December 7th with a price of $399.95 (AUS Dollars). Again the pack includes one wireless Wii Remote controller, one Nunchuk controller and Wii sports.

Right, Euroland launch details time. We can expect the console on December 8th for 249 Euros which translates to roughly £165, altough as usual an Electronics company will rip us Brits off and charge us £179, absolutley disgraceful. That's around 50% more than the price in Japan and around £50 more than the USA price. It's not like we're getting anything different either, we'll be getting the same as the USA, one controller, one nunchuck and Wii sports.

180 for a brand new console is pretty decent. I wouldn't compare it to a core 360 - core model seems far too gimped in my eyes to bother making a price comparison. If it was around £170 wouldwide I don't think there'd be too much issue, but this mark up over other countries is not on. US prices don't include tax but we're still paying far too much.

GameStation are taking pre-orders now if you go down to the shop and do it manually. No word on UK online pre-order atm.

Ordered it ealier. I have to agree with Malis, it is pretty decent and it's probably the cheapest console yet for a release. They can have my money, they aren't it with all the awesome and fun looking games I've seen so far. Just in time for xmas too! I have a feeling I'm going to be playing it with my whole family xmas day.
