Counter-Strike: Source Thursday  by Craig D at 23:19

steam Valve have announced via the steampowered site that Half_life2 pre-order packages will be made available for purchase tomorrow, Thursday 11am PST, that's 7pm UK time if my calculations are correct. Of course that means that Counter-Strike:Source will be immediatley available to play and the beta will be closing.

Prices for the 3 levels of packages have also been released and are as follows.

Bronze $49.95, Silver $59.95, Gold $89.95

Which in UK Pounds works out at something like

Bronze £28.07, Silver £33.70, Gold £50.56

So...it's actually cheaper for me to buy HL2 from a shop. Nice one, Steam!

indeed, Amazon and a few others have it discounted at a slighly lower price than the bronze package.

But...

You don't get access to cs:s now, if indeed you do want it.

Plus the fact that the average computer game packaging at one stage was about the same size as a small family car. I stopped collecting them long ago.

These days there in a DVD case, which I have about 80 odd Slimline duel DVD cases spare, so if I feel the need to own a HL2 case the facility is there.

Yunno, that case does look mighty fake. I read that there were going to be 3 different covers tho, so maybe this is one of them.

heh saw this post on the CS Source Bug forum, its obviously from one of Mani's mates.

The default CT weapon is not a USP Tactical..

Its the same gun we use in the German Airforce.

Its the P8, 9x19mm, mag has capacity of 15, +1 if you load one into the barrel and then take the mag out, put another round in..

Also, why is it, that every single time you take the weapon out, you "lock and load/fertigladen"

Technically, that makes the bullet thats already in the chamber discharge, and a new one enter the chamber taking the old, perfectly good bullets place..

During the training for security we had to do such excercises..

On the shooting range, have the gun in the holster.
Guy pops up, we shout something, guy drops (runs away), pull gun out, lock and load, guy pops up, bang, guy gets knocked down, shoot 4 of them, then advance 5 meters, the gun is in the holster, on safe since your not allowed to have a gun in the holster while it isnt secured... guy pops up
