nothing to do with being anal shane, if u have to stretch that pitcture to 1280 by 1024 it looks nothing like the original and will look awful, at least put some effort into it and combine the others so they actually fit on a 1280 desktop.

Well i just dled it just to try, now try this. Swap between centered and stretched, they look like they have all gone on a donut diet on stretched.
Now i got to go scrolling threw my hard drive to find my jessica alba desktop again fs !

Or do what many people do who run in a high res, which is have the art at original size in the centre of the screen, with a tasteful colour like black or white as the background ¬_¬

you can get a ok one from the capcom site, its basicaly DotD one but DR instead.
