The Darkness Interview  by James B at 16:08

XBoxPlaystation
The Darkness PS3land had an interview with Starbreeze Studios, creators of The Chronicles of Riddick, and the people behind next-gen game The Darkness. The game will be available on Xbox360 and PS3, and follows the story of Jackie Estacado, an ultra-cool mobster with demonic powers.

he PowerPC part of the Cell is very similar to a Xbox360 CPU core. They share most of the common performance problems and are both quite bad at running generic c++ code. This is something we can deal with relatively easily, though. The Cell's SPUs are a lot better and have great peak performance numbers, but adapting any moderately complex system to run on 256k memory for both code and data is a very time consuming challenge.

Being a huge fan of The Darkness comics, I'll be keeping a close eye on this. The mythology has great potential for a video game.

I think most people using this site would find the comic of this really cool. Basically it's about this ice-man mobster who, whenever the lights go out, can summon an army of alien-esque demons to do his dirty work. Sort of an anti-hero, and very very cool.

Read some of the comics online
Text is a little small to read but you can see the cool art style and ultra-violence etc
