War Rock Open Beta is Live  by Craig D at 20:35

If you're getting a little bored of Battlefield 2 and fancy trying another combined arms shooter, the open beta of War Rock is now live and may well be worth a look. It won't cost you to try it out and all you need is a registered account which you can get from the official War Rock site.

Then download the client and hopefully find a busy server to play on. Client download mirrors; 3dGamers and GameDaily.

Im a bit hazy, do u have to pay to unlock weapons in the real game?

erm this was in in open alfa testing about a year ago and i clearly recall a post on the forums about it. [either shane or myself] i played it for a few days and dint like the CS feel it has about the movements etc. and imo its more suited to a 3rd person shooter.

er, if this is like Planetside in any way shape or form I am so getting this Me and my cousin always wanted planetside to have real weapons and vehicles as it would have made it better
