An upcoming patch for Quake 4 promises to revamp the multiplayer game based on feedback received from the community. Changes are planned to create a 'faster, smoother, and more highly competitive experience', and also include a new gametype, a new weapon and several new maps. The patch is currently beta testing and should be released before QuakeCon which is under 3 weeks away.
