Valve Reveals More Team Fortress 2 Details  by James W at 11:37

PCXBoxPlaystation
In a new press release, Valve have announced a pack that will include enhanced versions of Half-Life 2, Episode 1 and Episode 2 will get released on the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. As we posted yesterday, they confirm Team Fortress 2 and Portal will get bundled in with Half-Life 2: Episode 2. Also included was a picture of the classes, unfortunately no in-game screenshots yet but it has quite a cool cartoon style to it.

Team Fortress 2, an all-new version of the title that spawned team based multiplayer action games, features the most advanced graphics of any Source-based game released to date. Players choose from a range of unique character classes such as medic, spy, sniper, or engineer and must work together to complete a variety of tactical objectives.

Portal is a new type of single player game that changes how players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment in a manner similar to how the Gravity Gun changed our approach to how an object may be leveraged in any given situation.

Team Fortress 2 and Portal will be included with all retail and Steam versions of Episode Two for the PC. In addition, these products plus Half-Life 2 and Episode One will be available in one tremendous offering for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. New videos from Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2 will be released next week.

I hope you can get TF2 just by itself, no interest in episode 2.

if it's the same price as episode 1 then it'll be ok as you're getting that and TF2 anyway.

I have zero interest in TF2 - not unless they completely re-write the source engine netcode before it's released.

The netcode is fine in TFC. It's only crappy in games like CS where there's realistic bullets etc.

No grant its not fine is it, its the same netcode thus its still ****ED. Your point is that you only play tft to mess about thus you dont care. But tf2 will still be using the same netcode and hitboxs so i am with craig, i dont give a shit about the gamestyle it will still be bullshit and as thus i wont be touching it with a very large stick.

TF2 might as well be called Team Fortress Classic: Source. I'm still gonna get it though, big fan of Valve's games.
