EA reveal six games in development for the Wii  by James B at 18:40

Wii 1up.com are reproting that Electronic Arts has announced six games in development for the Wii at their summer press event:

  • Madden NFL
  • Need for Speed
  • Harry Potter
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour
  • SSX
  • The Godfather

"Once we started to experiment with Madden on Wii, there was an explosion of innovation. Everyone in the studio is energized by the creative opportunity afforded by both the hardware and controller," said EA senior VP and general manager John Schappert in a press release. "By reaching into our catalogue, we are able to bring a fresh and distinctive experience to some of EA's most popular franchises. Creatively, the game play possibilities are staggering and endless."


Not exactly the most inspiring list of games, but as always with the Wii it'll be interesting to see just how the games will use the controller.

i guess Tiger Woods will take the Wii Sports golf thing and combine it with realism etc, so that'll be cool for golf fans, ditto with Madden. Wonder how Harry Potter will use the remote... for casting spells with a wand? Actually that's quite cool..
