Elite, no not l33t!  by Craig D at 09:24

Anyone who's as oldskool as me (read, old) will remember the name David Braben very well, the mastermind behind the legendary Elite on the BBC Micro some 20 years ago, talks a little on Computer and Video Games about the next Elite game.

But for what we're doing at the moment, we want to create something completely new. I know what it is we're going to do and I actually know how we're going to do it. That, I think, is extremely exciting

First I've heard of it, got to say I'm pleased, I think. I just know that it will ruin my social life for good.

Never really got into Elite, maybe I was just too young at the time i remember playing Frontier but didnt really get hooked to space sims back then. I quite liked Freelancer, found it a little open ended after the short story-line finished.
