Bethseda today announced that Johnny Depp will lend his voice to the imminent Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow action adventure game for the PS2 and PC, the game is scheduled to launch next tuesday whiuch makes the timing of this announcement a little odd to me. Still, the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie is due out in a couple of week and is sure to be a big box office hit.

"We are thrilled to have Johnny Depp working on this project," says Todd Vaughn, executive producer of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow. "We couldn't imagine a better way to capture the spirit of the character than to have Depp lend his voice to Captain Jack Sparrow. It truly adds to an already rich gameplay experience."
