Firefox gaining market share?  by Craig D at 00:50

Firefox We're big Firefox fans around here, we like our browser fast, standards compliant and most of all secure. It's interesting to note that it appears to be making some inroads into IE's dominant market share, a long way to go for sure.

Check out this article at cnet's news.com site, Firefox drawing fans away from Microsoft IE.

Cause for optimism? Or is IE so dominant that we might aswell put up with it being full of holes that never get patched?

It's probably better if the user base is small. That way the creators of adware and all the other nasty shit are going to stay focused on IE. I would happily pay for Firefox if they keep up the good work.

The more competition IE gets, the more Microsoft will attempt to innovate. You'd hope.

Not gonna touch another Microsoft browser even if they claim it's more secure than Fort Knox.

Why? Why blanket ban something? I really don't get it. If Microsoft release a browser that's brilliant, I'm going to consider using it.

FF is never going to come close to overtaking IE when IE comes with windows.. it gives them a massive 'noob' market share.

And I agree with Kendo, though personally while MS apps are usually very good, Id rather use non-MS even when its just a small advantage - just because of the different feel of the app.

FireFox would do well if it came as an option with windows

but ms is full of bugs!
