Call of Duty: United Offensive review  by Craig D at 01:13

PC
Actiontrip have reviewed United Offensive and were rather impressed.

The expansion offers 13 new levels in all, which will ensure that you get a nice amount of play time out of this one - certainly worth the price of admission and then some. Players will join the 101st Airborne for the climactic moments of the Battle of the Bulge. Next, players fight as a British airman shooting down German ME-109s from the gunner position of a B-17 bomber, and then move on to play a pivotal role in the invasion of Sicily. Finally, they follow their Russian comrades to experience the awesome firepower of tank warfare, both in the trenches and aboard T-34/85 tanks during the historic eight-day Battle of Kursk - one of the nastiest battles of the Second World War.

Go read it!

I'm sure there will be more reviews over the next day or two, I'll add them to the end of this news post, and that will be it for United Offensive news until it ships here in the UK.

**Update**

Gamespy have a review online too, they weren't quite so keen, on the single player part of the game.

And finally, Gamespot have their review up too, on the whole another very positivie review.

I'm almost sure taht britains B-17's were used ENTIRELY on coastal defence and submarine hunting, we never bombed germany with them, given that CoD was so historicallt accuarte, this is a bit of a let down tbh
