Microsoft side with Nintendo against Sony  by James B at 18:34

XBoxPlaystationNintendo
Washingtonpost.com have an interesting article up that reports Microsoft are siding with Nintendo against Sony's new PS3:

"Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3?" Peter Moore, a Microsoft vice president, said in an interview. " people are going to buy two (machines.) They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3."

I can see where he's coming from with that, $600 might be too much against two competitively priced rivals. As ever, let us know what you think below!

I think it's a real danger for Sony. I'm not saying the PSĀ£ will be a crap console, but an Xbox 360 and a Wii for the price of 1 PS3 does look attractive tbh

yeah, I agree with their statement. It's way to expensive when you can enjoy the benefits of 2 other great consoles (of which the xbox360 has some really good online support already)

They have risked a lot with Blu-ray and Cell processors.. in the short term I cant see it being successful. In the longer term I guess it comes down to whether people can be bothered to wait for the price to come down.
