Doom3 beta Patch, Demo, SDK  by Craig D at 09:38

PC
Various sources are reporting that the Doom3 demo is due within a few days and will contain 3 single player levels, If I'm honest I'd say that's just about enough to get completely bored with the game.

However, the SDK should also be out around the same time and we can then start looking foreward to some cool community created mods.

Also, iD have released a beta of the new patch for Doom3 to shack users, I suspect the final patch won't be to long anyway, your choice.

Nah - I think they've got their 3 levels number perfect. After 3 levels I was still wanting more - much more. At the beginning of the game I was still on the lookout for those cut-scenes where they'd introduce a new creature/monster. Those bits were cool! If only the websites doing their reviews now would be honest and give the game a high 70s score, rather than 95% and shit.

I was just about to ask what SDK is. But I now know it means Software Development Kit.
Seems strange that a Demo comes out after the game has been out for what a good 3 weeks? Most of the people who are going to buy it have already got it surely.

I want them to call it a Shareware version, and not a demo.
