City Life Screenshots  by Craig D at 17:27

PC
Here's a final set of City Life screenshots. Monte Cristo's City building strategy game is due out on the 12th of May. These shots apparently showcase 'stunning 3D graphics and urban environments'.

Of course, our City Life review is already on-line and quite impressed we were.

Yep I read the review. I might even have to check it out when it's released. I enjoy the SimCity series and this seems a bit more "ersonal". I definitely like the camera zooming in that far. I thought it funny you gave it only a 7.5 after the very positive review. What was the biggest drawback? The UI?

There's nothing wrong with 7.5. The review text was so overwhelmingly positive and the negative aspects were so minor in the reviewer's eyes that I was surprised it didn't get a 9 or 9.5.

If you look at their Battle for Middle Earth review they weren't NEARLY as positive about the game as they were City Life yet they garnered the same score. I just find it odd, that's all.

I tought 7.5 was a little harsh too, but hey, Grant reviewed it, it's his choice.

thats why point scores are silly and just listing negative/positive points is the way

I think we're too leniant if anything with review scores. A 7 should be a decent game with 8+ reserved for games that come into the cream of their genre.

you'd be happy with 70% in an exam (which is equivalent to a high 2:1 or even a very low first at degree level)
