CVG are reporting that the team behind the classic Earthworm Jim series have regrouped with plans for a next-gen sequel.

CVG - Info is pretty scant, although IGN reports that Dave Perry is currently attempting to acquire rights to the Earthworm Jim license from Atari and working on securing funding. It's said the original Earthworm Jim team is willing to publish its next-gen title - but it all depends on what happens with the license.
