This month's Steam marketing message will have probably been shown to you on starting Steam by now, if you have it installed that is. There's a few bit's of interesting info in there this time, most important as it's happening first is that the preload of Ritual's Sin Episode 1: Emergence should be starting soon. A HDR enabled version of de_dust is also mentioned.

There's only one way of making de_dust worse then it already is.

Making the framerate worse.

Enter the age of HDR.

You don't have to play with HDR enabled, you can disable it in options. Or, you can get a new video card.

This I know. New card or old card, HDR pretty much eats your framerate. I see now point in it at all for just some nice light effects.

Who the hell in their right mind would using that in a multiplayer game when all it's going to do is give them a disadvantage?
