WoW the Beta begins.  by Nick S at 19:43

PC
Phase Two of the World of Warcraft beta test has begun.

On the 14th of May the second wave of lucky beta testers entered the world of Azeroth.
Based 4 years after the end of Warcraft III , Players have the chance to play as one of eight playable races from the rich Warcraft world.

Humans, dwarves, night elves, and gnomes make up the Human Alliance whilst orcs, taurens, trolls, and undead form the Horde. These eight races will then have then depending on race a choice in profession from the following list paladins, rogues, priests, hunters, warlocks, druids, warriors, mages, and shamans.

At the moment the Beta test is limited to America and Korea due to Blizzards wish to have as many people as possible playing on the same time zone during testing. A European stage of the beta is due before the game goes live , Though no official dates have yet been given as to when this takes place.

I have managed to track down serveral Lucky Europeans who are currently in the beta and will get some interviews with them and there thoughts on how the beta is progressing in the next couple of weeks.

Been keeping an eye on this games development for a while now, this and UOX are probably both worth a look.

Yes its a mporpg :) , But it does have the advantage of an already established history and world from the previous warcraft games, It also has the Blizzard team building it which for me is a major bonus with there dedication to making great pc games.
