Playstation 3 Could Still Make Spring 2006 Launch  by Craig D at 11:42

Playstation
This story on The Register points to comments made my Sony saying they still aim to ship their next-gen console this spring. Sony are also reported to have said that this could slip if completion of certain industry wide specifications slip again, this is thought to be a reference to the new AACS encryption technologies used on HD-DVD and Blu-Ray disks.

It's also said that Sony has not made any announcement on which regions would get the PS3 first. Most analysts expect Japan to get the machine first, but who knows? Maybe Sony will surprise us.

That's the whole point, Sony have never said a word an their comment reiterate that.
