Hardware Roundup  by Craig D at 10:42

PC
Hardware Logic are very impressed with an AMD X2 3800 after it overclocks nicely. Great value they say.

The Inquirer has news of a new Western Digital HD, 500GB SATA-II NCQ and a 16mb cache. Nice size for a PVR, wonder how much Battlestar Galactica I could store on that, all of it x10 probably.

And from a few days ago, Tom's Hardware review MSI's latest socket 939 board, the K8N Diamond Plus and are quite impressed.

nah i aint heard its shit, mani says he heard it was buggy cos western digital chose not to make there raptors sata 2. But i aint heard anything that makes me think they r shit, although u will need vista to make the most of em, you will still benifit from the enhanced transfer speed.

it's just a faster interface, the drives still don;t saturtae at sata 150 bus. Hence the fastest drive on the maket by far being a 150GB Raptor on an SATA 1 bus.
