CryTek To Release First DX10 Game  by James W at 17:59

PC
GamersHell have news that creators of FarCry, CryTek will be releasing the first DX10 game called Crysis near the end of the year. They also have some screenshots and a re-released video from a tech demo, now in hi-resolution. Even if you have seen it before the tech demo is well worth checking out.

Yeah, looks really pretty. Love the destructible stuff too

Would make some really cool A-Team car flipping house smashing moments ;D

Looks great - only thing is my DX cards are only a year old lol so getting a DX10 card is not going to happen for another 18 months at least ... then again DX10 must mean Vista ? & I am unlikely to go Vista for some time ...

I guess you can have dx10 without vista, and vista without dx10, it just wont look as nice

I love the lighting through the trees, that could be real for anyone who doesn't pay 100% attention, games will be stunning in the future.

can't wait for FarcCry 2
imo the original pissed on Doom, and to a certain extent HL2. Amazing refreshing, fun game - more of the same with this sort of tech please!

The only bad thing was the player animation of the guy walking into the plant, he looked pretty bad compared to the animations in bf2

I wouldn't judge on a tech demo. They'd probably have very few animators working on it.
