3DMark06 Tomorrow  by James W at 08:10

GameSpot is reporting it will premiere Futuremarks new benchmarking tool, 3DMark 06 tomorrow. GameCloud adds, "the new version will have some revised versions of older demos along with a new Deep Freeze demo. The benchmark will also have CPU and dual core processor benchmark statistical tests."

I've only ever used 2001 just to look at the demos, cba with benchmarking crap like this. I prfer to use real games as a benchmark

It's nice sometimes to see new eye candy...but it's depressing when it's running at 3fps.

I use it mostly for eye candy but sometimes handy for a test when overclocking a machine.

I only use it when I first boot up a new PC. I don't see the point in using it when over clocking because the scores aren't that accurate anyway...

In what respect are they not accurate? thats kinda vague
