Yeah I agree with Toma , In years gone past there have been several releases to the halflife title which to be honest have been nothing more than short mods sold to the public (Gunman Chronicles & Blueshift to name 2).

Whilst I remain an avid Halflife Gamer , I just hope Valve don't sell us short on this greatly antisipated release.

Unless it's cheap, I guess it's all down to value for money. I don;t mind paying a tenner for something about 1/3 the length of HL2 once a quarter.

This is true a I dont mind so much paying less for a short title , but as is typical with Halflife titles, we get news of a new release , all await the date when we can purchase the game after months of teasers and screen shots.

Its not so much about the money but more about the disapontment factor when you complete it in a short space of time and are left wishing the game had been a few hours longer and the ending wasnt so weak.

Aye, the marketing blitz has yet to kick in tho, so far we have been spared.
