Half-Life 2 64-Bit Worth Trying?  by James W at 22:20

PC
hl2 Techgage have given the recently released 64-bit version of Half-Life 2 a try. Interestingly it didn't perform as well as hoped, but more tests are needed to be conclusive. I also wouldnt be suprised to see Valve release some 64-bit updates as they tweak the 64-bit optimisations.

lets be honest here its a patch for 64bit not wrote to support it from the start, i would be very very suprised if you get much or any of a performance boost for running it in 64 bit, infact knowing valve i wouldnt be suprised if u get a performance hit for doing it.
