Steam Goes 64bits  by Craig D at 01:56

PC
hl2 The latest Steam News update announces that there are now 64 bits version of some Valve games available, you will need a 64bit CPU and Windows XP-64 of course to take advantage of them. I can't see any news about possible enhancements or speed improvements, I guess we'll get some of that in the coming days as people try it out.

Does a 64bit version of HL2 mean a 64 bit version of CS:S too?

The first 64-bit Valve games released will be native 64-bit versions of Half-Life 2 and Lost Coast

Yer how does this work. Because CS:S runs on the HL2 engine no? Or are they seperate?

Think you would say Source Goes 64Bits since Steam is just the delivery system isnt it. Anyway, will be interesting to see what performance effect this has.
