New games on Xbox Live Arcade  by James W at 12:41

XBox
A couple more games have been added to Xbox Live Arcade and I've given them play this morning. To start things off we have Wik: Fable of Souls, which weighs in at 22.5MB.

Thrilling acrobatic, tongue swinging action on 120+ single player levels and 7 modes of play, including same-console multiplayer madness! Can you become the Wik Master?
.
Wik is a strange puzzle platformer that initially seems rather simple but I have to admit it grows on you. Some screenshots are available here.

Next is classic 80's PC title, Robotron: 2084. This one is 18.3MB.

In 2084, man creates a species of super-advanced cyborgs known as Robotrons. Recognizing the imperfect nature of their creators, the Robotrons conclude that the inefficent human race must be exterminated. Only you and a single family of cones remain. If mankind is to survive, you must destroy the Grunts, Brains, Enforces and Tanks - but avoid the indestructible Hulks at all cost. Can you withstand wave after wave of android invasion and rescue Mommy, Daddy and Mikey... before it's too late?

If that doesnt scream crazy 80's title I dont know what does! Robotron is similar to Geometry Wars, without the fancy graphics. It's quite good fun but unless you played the original you might not get all that excited about this one. Especially as without paying, the trial version doesnt offer a great deal of play time.
